Every year High Country Performance 4x4 holds an Open House. This year it was on Saturday, May 17th. Manufacturers sent representatives from around the country to display their new products. Free food was available and parts were on sale. Door prizes were donated by vendors and won through raffles. There were impressive vehicles to view as well.
Vehicles (mostly Jeep JKs) were shown by manufacturers, HCP4X4 customers and employees. Kent Klein from AEV brought a Hemi powered 4 door Wrangler. Curt Hildebrand from Teraflex brought a JK. Jeff Fox from Tuffy Security Products had a JK too. Rock Hard 4x4 sent 3 Jeeps from Nebraska. Paul Herrera from Poison Spyder Customs brought "Bombshell Betty" and Gene Griffin had his CJ-7. A local company, ToyTec Lifts, displayed a few Toyotas. And Bob Horn, the owner of Bulldog Winch, drove his JK from Phoenix, AZ.
Not every manufacturer sent a rep with vehicle. T.R. Burrus, from ARB, flew in from Renton, Washington to attend our event. Josh Lubitz, of MBA Marketing, was repping for Hi-Lift, Bushwacker and Airlift. Rich Butler, of R&R Marketing, was covering for Airaid, Superchips and Fitch. Midstates, a local wholesale company, sent Ken Blegen. Dynatrac had tables and displays set-up showing off their latest products. Jeanne Wilson, of Adler Publishing, stopped by to promote her books too.
Another cool feature of this year's Open House and something new for High Country was television. A new show, on the Altitude Channel, called "Nice Drives" was here. They were recording the beginning segment to a show focusing on off-highway driving in Colorado. The trail portions will be filmed at a later date. It should air later this summer. Take a look at their website... http://www.nicedrives.com/
Also in attendance was Stay The Trail. Stay The Trail is an organization that promotes responsible off-road driving.
Congratulations to our grand prize winners! Scott Riley won a $750 gift card. Mark Oderard won a $750 labor credit. The $500 gift card went to Mitch Schupanitz. The $500 labor prize was awarded to Jeff Jackson. Smaller door prizes were awarded to many other lucky winners.
If you didn't make it this year, mark your calendar for Saturday, May 16th 2009, HCP4X4's 4th annual Open House.
