First Beginning Trail Driving class a success!!

With so many people buying their first Jeep since the introduction of the JK, High Country Performance 4x4 took the initiative to help those new to their Jeep learn what the vehicle is capible of.  So we took a class of 11 to C.O.R.E. in Deertrail, CO to teach them how to safely and properly drive over obstacles.

We had a diverse group of driver skill level and vehicle modifications: from people who literally just bought their Jeep to those that have been 4-wheeling for years.  We divided the group into half, and the beginners went with Brady to learn tire placement and what it feels like driving over obstacles.  The intermediate beginners went with Valerie to drive over some of the moderate obstacles and learn tire placement, remember where the low points are on their vehicle such as the differentials and lower control arm mounts, in order to avoid hitting them on a trail.

It was a beautiful spring day and everything went well!  Only one vehicle broke a u-joint in the drive shaft, which we took off the drive shaft as nobody had a spare for him, and he drove home in front wheel drive.

Here are some of the photos from the day:

More classes will be offered throughout the year.  Watch our web site in the EVENTS section for scheduled classes!  All classes are free, with the exception if we go out to C.O.R.E. which charges $10 per person.
